Using Social Media Platforms to Build Your Energy Healing Practice

Social MediaAccording to the Pew Research Center, who began tracking social media use in 2005, “Just 5% of American adults used at least one of these platforms. By 2011 that share had risen to half of all Americans, and today 69% of the public uses some type of social media.”

And it’s just not young people who are tweeting, sharing, pinning and snapping! According to Pew, 79% of people ages 30-49 are using Facebook and 76% of those people make $75,000 or more per year.

If you’re an energy practitioner – anyone actively engaging in an energy-based approach to health and healing – and you’re fretting over where to find enough clients to make a full-time go of it, you need to know these statistics and jump on the social media bandwagon.

I’ve included the link so you can see the demographics of social media users, find out which platforms are the most popular, and find out how often social media sites are used each day.

3 Best Social Media Platforms for Energy Healers Needing Clients

The seven main players on the social media scene are: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and Snapchat.

To help you choose the best social media platforms to increase traffic to you website or practice, I’ve narrowed it down to the best three for energy healers building their energy practices.

  1. Facebook

Facebook is the biggest social network on the web, both in terms of name recognition and total number of users. With nearly 2 billion active users, Facebook is a great medium for connecting people from all over the world with your practice. Best yet, it’s low-maintenance. Because so many of your clients already have a Facebook account, this will be the easiest way to reach them. You can share photos, videos, healthful tips, and healing specials.Tip: Have a separate personal and business page. Don’t overlap or mix content. Keep those cute animal videos for your personal channel.

  2. Pinterest

I wrote, in detail, about how Pinterest can increase traffic to your healing practice in a previous blog post. I’ve included the link here: Pinterest Article. Pinterest is the second largest social network on the web with over 200 million people and 100 billion ideas shared each month. This visually oriented platform allows users to save and display content by ‘pinning’ it to digital bulletin boards to share and take action on later. As an energy practitioner, Pinterest makes an especially good marketing tool for those seeking your services. And like Facebook, it’s also low-maintenance.Tip: While you can share text, videos, and pictures on Facebook, Pinterest won’t publish anything without an image.

  3. YouTube

Like Pinterest, YouTube is visually oriented. YouTube is a video-sharing platform with over 1 billion views per day. Here people can view, upload, rate, share, and comment on video content. Now owned by Google, this site is a huge video hub. Many healing practices use YouTube for educational purposes – inform their clients on health and healing – and service demonstrations – what’s a Reiki session really like. Besides driving clients to your practice, you can also make money from Google AdSense. And like Facebook and Pinterest, once you upload your video there’s very little maintenance.Tip: You can link your Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube platforms with your Twitter account.

If you are an energy practitioner wondering when your next client is going to call, and you’re not actively using the above three social medial platforms to market your practice, you are missing out on a great opportunity. Set up your Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube business channels today and watch your practice grow.
