Daily Practices to Restore Balance in Your Life
If you’re like most women, making the transition from practicing on family and friends to starting up your own energy healing practice is stressful. And, as an energy healer yourself you know how harmful stress is to the body.
Whether you’re starting up a Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, or EFT practice, it’s important to balance the startup stress and excitement with restorative peace.
These six daily practices will reduce your stress level and calm your spirit.
Six Daily Practices for Restorative Peace
1. Set your positive intention for the day.
First thing each morning, set your intention for the day ahead. Let this intention guide you in all you do.
2. Set a ‘balanced vision’ for your mind.
Right after you set your positive intention for the day, spend the next five to ten minutes mentally picturing your day the way you want it to be. Clearly see and experience how it feels to be perfectly balanced, centered, and whole. By doing this you will have set a goal for the mind and a feeling state for the body to achieve.
3. Simplify.
After you’ve set both the balanced vision for your mind and the feeling state for your body, look over your week and see what you can do to simplify your life for the next seven days. Be very Zen about this: Invite simplicity into your life.
4. Let things go.
As simplicity becomes your new way of being, you’ll find that many of the things you compulsively thought just “have to get done” no longer need to be done. Begin each day by letting go of the unnecessary things that take up space without meaning.
5. Set priorities and create boundaries.
When you begin living more simply and letting things go, you’ll find yourself coming quite naturally into alignment with a more balanced lifestyle.
You’ll find yourself wanting to create healthy boundaries in order to maintain balance. The key here is to figure out what you want your priorities to be, not what you think they should be.
6. Protect your private time.
The final thing is to fervently guard your personal and private time. As an energy worker it is natural to want to help others. Yet, keeping work time separate from personal time will create the balance you need.
As an energy healer starting up your own practice, it’s easy to become stressed and overwhelmed. There’s so much to do! No matter what your energy modality, it’s important to remain balanced. Follow these six daily practices to reduce your stress level and calm your spirit.
