Be the Beautiful Self that You Are
What is the #1 mistake that energy healers make when transitioning from working on friends and family to starting up their healing practice?
Not being themselves!
Energy healers starting up energy practices are different from the everyday people starting up a small business.
Why?
Because what an energy healer is and what they do is one and the same. There’s no separation between the energy healer and the energy practice. It’s personal. And because it’s personal that’s what makes an energy healer unique. It gives them a distinctive energy signature.
It’s the same with singing.
The same song being sung by two different women is distinctively unique. That’s because the song is first formed in the body and no two bodies are alike. Because the song is formed in the body there is no separation between the singer and the song. Different from a cello player that has an instrument separating her from her music, a singer does not.
That’s the same with energy healers.
Because the energy work being done is part and parcel of a healer’s practice, it is also the most vulnerable.
- Vulnerable to criticism.
- Vulnerable to scrutiny.
- Vulnerable to misunderstandings.
Ugggh! None of us likes that!
Yet, to do your work effectively, it is vitally important to seek not to be accepted by others, rather to accept and be yourself.
I think Vietnamese Buddhist monk and peace activist Thich Nhat Hahn says it best: To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh
So . . .
- Be yourself.
- Accept yourself.
- Embrace yourself.
Be the beautiful self that you are. For in doing so, you will be the song that heals others. And through healing others our communities will be healed.
Yes You Can! empowers energy healers to put themselves forward in their communities by starting up healing practices. For in doing so, not only will more people find the healing they need, our communities and our relationship with the natural world will also be healed.
Come join me in this healing journey.
